There was no surprise in Changwon where 9th rankedSkygunners (14-29) were defeated by third ranked Sakers (27-16) 91-79 on Sunday. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 23 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Junseok Yang (179-2001) chipped in 13 points and 9 assists during the contest. Four Sakers players scored in double figures. American forward DJ Burns Jr (206-2000, college: NC State) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds and Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers moved-up to second place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. Sono SG lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 29 games lost.
